size 的床,价格也谈话好，早上6点我和老公等着他们来，可倒好人家一看，说我这怎
么那么多东西，之前和他沟通了好说一studio的东西，难倒一搬家公司不知道一studio
有多少东西嘛?就怪我们东西多，东西多可以和我商量价格对吧，他那态度，气得我直
接把他哄出了家门，我们是他临时安排进他的schedule,说早上6点搬，我和老公5点起
来把床都拆好了。以后大家千万不要找这家这么不靠谱的搬家公司，家没搬成，却受了
一肚子的气! |

from NJ to Long Island, from a 2 bedroom to a house.
They came at 6 AM sharp, took 3 hours to get everything down from a 5th
floor apt, plus 90 minutes of driving to Long Island and another 3 hours to
unload everything.
We had a full truck load of stuffs. They quoted me only $400 on the phone
because I under reported my things. There were 3 guys, a truck, and almost
an entire day (8 hours) of work. So I gave them $400 in tips.
I think it was very fair and very reasonable.
I would use them again and would not hesitate to recommend them to my
friends.
Just a tip. all movers would complain that your have more things than what
you told them. It is just a way of asking for more tips.. which is fine.
When getting a quote, I always tell the boss that I have very few things so
I could get a low quote. Then when the movers arrive and realize that I have
so much more, I would give the movers a $100 tip in advance and tell them
once the move is done, I would give a lot more. This way, everyone is happy.
The movers would get more.. at the end, they are the ones who need to put
in the hard labor..

tell them if they do a good job, I will give even more..
it is a good way to motivate ppl.. from roofers, cleaning ladies to handymen
.. always works wells..

大智慧 我40岁出头时 才明白这个道理
好多人心理是“看他做得如何，我再TIPS 他”
可是实际情况是 他们在不知道有没有TIPS或是TIPS好不好之前 可能会以正常的水平
或是消极地做 等你事后TIPS 有种 “早知道我就做得更好” “或是我随便做是对的”
的想法。对于给钱的人的影响是“可能会失去一些本来可能更好的结果”
先给一部份实在是好法子。

1年多前用过一次，他们比约定的时间早到了1小时，当时我还在整理零碎小东西，乱了
点，我和他说我自己有SUV，杂物我都自己搬，他只要搬几个大件就行（之前电话里也
是这么说的），结果他就说东西太多，要加钱，好吧，我知道这是行规，就加了钱给他
们。
然后搬家过程及其粗暴，家具磕磕碰碰，mattress随便在地上拖，最重要的是把我挂墙
上的结婚照给磨坏一大块！
我当时很郁闷，搬完家工头直接问我要小费，我还是给了，结果他说不够，要加钱，我
说你们就在Queens搬，距离3mile多，两边都有电梯，而且把我的东西都弄坏了我都算
了，哪有给了小费还要加小费的！那个工头见我不肯多给钱，就开始大吼大叫，说认识
我的车，晚上就来砸！
我的天，简直就是流氓，后来大楼的门卫见他们闹事把他们轰出去了，他还在路上嚷嚷
说要砸我的车……
真是很不愉快的一次搬家经历！ |

发帖数: 1953 | 9 这个是肯定的。我们餐馆装FIOS，老板要我负责看，我先给小费，再叫技术工帮我拉了
条非常长的线。
可见事前tips是很有用的。

发帖数: 1912 | 15 I think I used them once 1.5 years ago (2bed from Manhattan to Roosevelt
island). The price they said via phone is 300 but after all end up with 700
(incl tips). Not sure if this price is too high but the feeling is
definitely not good.
I strongly recommend American movers. If you yelp "van mover", you would
find a lot of independent movers who have great reviews. Most of them are
charging by hours not by room and no surprise of price. This year I hire a
Williamsburg based mover to help me move 1 bed. I paid less than 300 for 3
hours and they finish the job within 2 hours. Then they find they have extra
time so they help me move some other stuff back to city (I sold some big
furniture). |
