，希望大家不要再经历我的痛苦（用痛苦有点夸张，不过被搬家公司最后一分钟抛弃的
感觉真的很狗血）．
周三约好的周五5点搬家，周五四点钟的时候，我在做最后的packing, 电话响了，搬家师
傅说，“我的车坏了，今天修不好了，不能帮你搬家了＂。我说，＂那明天呢？＂师
傅说，＂明天不知道啊＂。我说 ＂那我怎么办呢？明天下午新的房客就要搬入了，
我必须搬走。＂师傅说，“你自己想办法吧。＂．我说，“我可以试着想办法，但你
周六车修好了，要优先帮我搬家。＂师傅说好。
接下来，我在一小时内打了无数个电话给所有的mover和truck rental但是被告知所有
的schedule 已满，所有的truck 都被rented out，back to shcool time & labor
day weekend... 感谢我的上帝赐朋友帮助，在这混乱之后，最终我还是如期搬了家。
周五晚上搬完后，我甚至还想说，要不要给那搬家师傅说一声我已经搬了，不需要他周
六再安排了。后来没打，但是那个师傅也没有再打过电话。
尽管doubt过他是不是给我撒了个弥天大谎，但是Every person is presumed innocent
until proven guilty．我还是愿意相信他的车是真的坏了。只是，一点backup plan
都没有，实在不reliable．把这个写在这里，不是为了要抱怨或报复他。只是想提醒
以后搬家的同学们，找了搬家公司，也要给自己准备个
backup, 或者尽量别在最后一天搬，这样既使搬家公司不能如期搬家，自己也不至于手
忙脚乱。 | j***k

on a busy moving day, they may be scheduled for 3 moves a day. If the first
2 moves run over time, the mover would always tell the 3rd one that his
truck is broken down and he would not be able to come...
in my last move, it ran over time and I heard the mover call the next
appointment with the same excuse.. frankly, what else can they say?
the lesson here is not having a backup, but always be the first move of the
day, not the last one!!! If you schedule your move at 7 AM, it is much less
likely that you would get dumped.

Good point! I will try to schedule morning appointment in the future when i

building regulations, the mover had to call his next appointment to cancel
and tell them that his "truck broke down".
but to his credit, he did first call his friends and see if they could help,
but they were all busy due to month end.. He called at least 3 or 4 friends
, before calling the next appointment to cancel.
i felt bad for the next appointment, but I couldn't let the mover go in the
middle of my move. The move was supposed to last only 3 hours, but took 7
hours to complete.
not trying to make an excuse for your mover not showing up, but i think
sometimes things would go out of control, not necessarily due to the mover'
s own fault. In my case, they couldn't just leave me in the middle of my
move to help out the next appointment..

this discussion here. When the shit hits the fan in the future, at least I
will be a little prepared.

样。
