The Poker Players Alliance (PPA) is proud to support Proposal 1, a
constitutional amendment to legalize brick-and-mortar casinos which will
create new opportunities for you to play poker and other table games
throughout New York.
We encourage you to support this initiative on November 5th, but first you
need register to vote; the deadline is this THURSDAY! If you are not
registered to vote or need to update your voter registration, the PPA has
made it simple. Please go to the New York State Board of
Elections website to register to vote or to update your current voter
registration.
October 11 – Deadline for Registering to Vote by Mail or In-Person
Mail Registration: Applications to register to vote must be postmarked
no later than October 11, 2013, and be received by the board of elections no
later than October 16, 2013, to be eligible to vote in the General Election.
In-Person Registration: You may register at your local board of
elections or any state agency participating in the National Voter
Registration Act, on any business day throughout the year. However, to be
eligible to vote in this November’s General Election, your application must
be received no later than October 11, 2013, except if you have been
honorably discharged from the military or have become a naturalized citizen
since October 11, in which case you may register in person at the board of
elections until October 25.
Proposal 1 is an important issue facing all New Yorkers and your vote can
make the difference. Please vote for Proposal 1 this November 5th!
