school Grade 6) such as Dalton or Browning? My kid will be in 4th grade in
public school and does not have good score. Is it possible? Anything that I
can do to improve his skills before application?

校要看school report, ISEE和纽约州标准化考试的成绩，学校可能还会有自己的考试
，面试家长和孩子看综合素质。我的大女儿就是六年级的时候考的私校，她英语一般，
但数学突出，请了个tutor辅导ISEE，再加上面试表现很好，考上了一家first tier的
all girls school。

发帖数: 21 | 4 Thanks. My situation is that we will move to NYC next January. so my son
will spend half 4th grade in MD and half in NYC. The boy likes to play video
game and probably just above average performance in his class.
We plan to live in the city since my working place is 68th east and my wife
is in ground central terminal. However, we are also considering to live out
side city such as Bronxville or Sarcadale; both have good public school
without entrance exam
The school is our major concern now. tutor is option. Is Upper East Middle
school very difficult to enter? Which elementary school is the best in upper
east side?

这边的几所公立小学，一月份能否有名额接收学生，有什么入学要求。你反正是租房子
，哪个公立小学最好，并且还有名额可接收学生，你就住到那边上。这样就不存在考不
上的问题了。 |

ps 267, ps 158) in upper east side, they do not default to accept
transferring student from other state in the middle of the academic year.
Anybody have experience?
