. thank god the hospital was 15 mins away
from my home and it was midnight

发帖数: 15 | 5 I had my first child 5 minutes after I arrived at the hospital. So when I
was pregnant with my 2nd, I told the doctor about my experience and then
kept nagging and begging ( asked if I should change the doctor so that I can
go to a hospital that is close to my home). Eventually he decided to induce
me at 39 weeks. If I had the baby before 39 weeks, I will have to go to the
closest ER. |

发帖数: 15 | 7 When I had my first, the hospital was 30-40 minutes away. They always say it
will take longer time for the first-time-mom to deliver, so I believe my
case is extremely rare. But 30 to 40 minutes in the car when you are in
labor, it is something you probably won’t be able to enjoy. My labor came
fast and I screamed all the way to the hospital…all I wanted was getting
epidural to get rid of the pain. I don’t want to scare you and again I
really think my case is extremely rare. I didn’t have time to get epidural
when I had the first kid, but I finally got epidural when I had my second (
it was an easy and wonderful delivery and I truly enjoyed my experience). I
think they consider 38 (or 37?) weeks to be a full term and my doctor said
delivering at 39 weeks or 40 weeks doesn’t make any difference. |
