请问各位姐妹是怎么找到保姆的。 | S**********l

我想了几个办法：
1.从法拉盛请一个带到michigan。但是怕用的不合适。没法退回去。
2.请老外。craiglist上发广告。有点儿担心饭菜不合口味。
3.在地区报纸上发广告？目前没找到合适的报纸
4.联系当地教会，问问有没有赋闲的姐妹可以来做？但是我们都不信教，不太想趟这潭浑水.
哪个比较靠谱？

I remember you are a faculty member. If this is the case, or you are
relocated to a college town, I would recommend you hiring college students,
the ones majoring in early child education, or human development and family
studies (HDFS) seem to be the best.
I was in the same situation, at first, we tried to hire live-in Chinese
nannies from a nearby city (2hr drive). We posted ads at Chinese grocery
stores, and a lot of people applied for the job. We paid extra, but were
quite unhappy for the people we hired. The thing is, the good ones can
always find a job in the big city, and the ones who are willing to travel
such "long" distance, are the ones who couldn't find employment in the city.
After several try, we eventually were forced to look for American nannies,
and it turned out great. During the summer, we hired a senior majoring HDFS,
who was a student teacher at the university early development center (the "
lab" daycare at the university), she came with great references, and she has
been fantastic. Actually my husband and I learned a lot form her. For me,
it is always easier to tell whether an American is good at a job, coz
the reference is more reliable, and they seem to simple and frank, so it is
relatively easy to tell whether or not they are serious about the
job.

发帖数: 3008 | 14 如果你在chicago的话， 直接到HMART, 宏远市场， chinatown的Hongkong market，大家发，百家市场， 还有chinatown和halsted×34街的public library， 去贴小广告就行了， 肯定会有不少保姆给你打电话的。
