我是永久绿卡了。今年初把儿子送回国，因此在国内陪儿子的天数比较多，大概分两出
入境次，一次4个多月，一次1个月，大概164天左右。
请问，如果我 本年度还想回国，可以回多久。绿卡有没有被取消的危险？（听说绿卡
一定要在美国呆满6个月，是不是这样的说法？） | d******g

Absences from the United States: The length of time an individual spends
outside of the United States is a primary factor in determining his or her
intent to maintain permanent resident status. Absences of more than six
months from the United States raise a rebuttable presumption that an
individual intends to abandon permanent resident status, and absences of
more than one year invalidate the green card as an entry document unless the
individual also holds a valid re-entry permit. A foreign national who has
been continuously outside of the United States more than 12 months may still
be a U.S. permanent resident, but a special immigrant visa from a U.S.
Consul will probably need to be obtained in order to re-enter the United
States unless the individual is in possession of a valid re-entry permit. (
Note that prolonged absences may also adversely impact U.S. citizenship
eligibility, notwithstanding the existence of a re-entry permit.)
