have no medical background and not English major.
My best friend began at 39. She had graduated a couple of years ago. She had
English major in China and she had two young kids.
NURSING SCHOOL IS TOUGH, BUT NOT IMPOSSIBLE. It is really depend on how big
of your nursing dream.

晚上有课吗?有个学校比较远,如果晚上上课,很不方便.

Are you now at Accelerated BSN program? Do you have courses in the evening?
Do you take courses everyday? I'm considering a school but it's far from my
home.It's not convenient if there are courses in the evening.

发帖数: 1739 | 6 Accelerated BSN program不能说每晚有课,但会有实习安排在晚上和周末,每天都会有
课,还不止一门的说,有时一天三门,还有可能都在那天考试,要有思想准备,我同学40+,
三孩子,也读完了,累与不累,她最清楚,反正现在她很少OVERTIME 工作 |

digest the materials.

Because of your wonderful backgroud, you may continue your education to be a
nurse practioner after you graduate as a RN. As a nurse practioner, you may
function like a doctor such as diagnosing patients and prescribing
medications......
Nursing is a wonderful career and it is very rewarding, although it is
little bit tough.

please further explain it? Perhaps pay is not bad but you have to work
overtime. Anything else which is good choice for being a nurse? Also, how is
nurse practitioner job market? It seems that there are too many NPs now. |

Personally, I feel it is very rewarding if you really like it. Doctors are
like invisible persons, and they may only spend 5 minutes or less with their
patients during rounds and then they disappeared. Anything happened during
your shift is based on your knowledge and nursing judgment skills to inform
the Doctor for further interventions. You are the one provide your patients
and their family information most of the time and they depend on your
knowledge, judgments, and care. Sometimes, an e

better than others, everybody will love to have you as their health care
provider.

I have been a nurse only for few years, and I didn't have any health care
backgroud before I entered nursing. I studied here (U.S.).
