r*****n 发帖数: 94 | 1 I am studying master degree on health service administration, and will
graduate next spring. I start to look for job. However, I am confused what
job I should focused on. Please give suggestions.
My back ground: I worked as a RN (associate degree) for one year in nursing
home under OPT; also I did my nursing internship in med-surg 9 months. I
back to school because I cannot apply H1B. This time I plan to find a job
can apply H1B. I don’t think I can do nursing manager which is too hard to
an international student. I chose health service administration because
this is the only option for me; the local University does not have master or
bachelor degree for nursing.
Please suggestion and advice.
Thanks

economy. I see many switch from health admin to nursing.

Does anyone know the RN case management, or disease management ? Can I focus
on that area? |

within utilization review, precertification, accreditation or even research
areas considering your nursing experience.
With MHA, it is a good thing and a bad thing. Good is that you could engage
in a very very wide range of jobs related to healthcare, but just because it
is too wide, it is very easy to get lost.
Just google what to do with MHA. Hope this helps.

I really want to use my RN (background/licenses) as an advantage. It is a
good suggestion about insurance companies.

I don’t think MHA qualified for teaching. My bottom line is to do the
bedside nurse; however I prefer the job focused on administration/management
with RN background.
