三个选择:
1. Inpatient. Night shift 7p to 5a. Job includes admission and some cross
cover. Two other NP/PA available for questions. The hospital is 25 minutes
drive from my house.
2. Outpatient. Primary care office. Eventually expected to be able to reach
20minutes /patient. 10-15 minutes away from my house.
3. Nursing home. Expected to see 13-15 patients per day. 15 minutes away
from my house.
请问做为新NP毕业生, 我该选哪个呢? What I care the most is firstly that I
will be able to handle the job safely, secondly, have some room for the
career development and make myself more valuable in the future.
另外我真的没有特别喜欢或不喜欢哪一个, 所以请大家帮忙分析一下. 谢谢! |

发帖数: 352 | 2 Lucky u! 这几个听上去都不错啊。第一个跟第三个应该待遇不错，work load也不是很
重。一个是acute 一个是post acute,看你喜欢什么啦，夜班开始以后有机会到白班吧
，医院应该比较锻炼人。nursing home 要开车跑来跑去。 |

发帖数: 2638 | 5 看自己喜好。三个都不错。也看你实习setting还有是哪个track。如果FNP的话，做2或
者1都会让你以后很competitive如果需要再换工作。3会很independent……但是时间非
常flexible。 |

发帖数: 352 | 7 第二个工作也不错，要看个人性格，可以得到锻炼，每天看很多常见病，只是有的人不
喜欢天天坐在办公室的感觉。第三个你看的病人数量13-15真的挺好，我听说的都是一
周100差不多，是只呆一家还是要跑多家nh？时间是比较flexible,没人管。nursing
home 不会让你market value降低，为什么会？你还要权衡一下整个package,保险，
401k什么的。

至于the whole package, they are very similar since they belong to the same
organization.
我认为nursing home may devalue myself based on the concern that I am afraid
of not able to have a systemic training in NH in comparison to the
prestigious hospital and the primary care office.
I had clinical rotations at all the above settings and I think NH is the
most independent and least challenged among the three. In addition, the
flexibility and better hours working at NH are super appealing,. However,
being a new grad, I think I need a place with more orientation and
mentorship to ensure myself to grow medically and practice safely.
Anyways, I am still 纠结中?????? More thought? Btw, I am Adult Gerontology

业，但还没考执照我还没开始找工作，你是在哪里找的，恭喜你

A quick update: I have decided to take the NH job plus being credentialed in
the inpatient setting as a contingent NP. I am thinking to submit my
decision tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.
Is there anything I should bargain about?

发帖数: 451 | 13 I am an AGNP too and will graduate in Aug. I currently have couple of job
opportunities of working NH too. As you have eventually decided to take the
NH job, may I ask you what factors drove you to this final decision? I am
still not sure where is the best to work at. Primary care sounds very
challenge but may be the best for professional growth. What do you think? It
doesn't mean that I don't like long term care. I had clinical rotation at
several NH and had worked independently managing residents there with
supervision of my preceptor. Actually, I think it is a good start to new
grad NP. However, still struggling where is the best. Just want you opinion
in assisting me to look for a job. Thanks.
BTW, where are you? I am in Denver, CO. Shall we contact each other in the
