When a race is run tactically, it is always very slow in the first 2/3 part,
it is all about last 600m to see who has the sprint speed.
That is also why none of the long distance WR is produced in the Olympics.
Because you din't have rabbit running for you.
As a matter of fact, this is a pretty decent time for olympic final. |

do you really understand distance running?
Do you only watch distance race of olympics every 4 year?
they should run fast in the beginning but they might risk burning themselves
too early, and most people don't have the guts to do that. And in diamond
races, there are always people running for them, so these big names are not
very used to
running just by themselves.
Exceptional good ones can do that, David Lekuta Rudisha break 800m WR by
leading from the start to finish.
