It has always been my understanding that the host country of the Olympic
Games should set a good example for the rest of the world. Furthermore, The
Fundamental Principles of the Olympic Charter state that, "Olympism seeks
to create a way of life based on the joy found in effort, the educational
value of good example and respect for universal fundamental ethical
principles
