Update @ 11am: 截至此时，我们的mailing list有42人参加，facebook有290个好友。今晚我们会参加UCSD CSSA的会议。看他们是否能组织demonstration。另外我们要跟进UCSD反歧视的调查结果，并坚决要求查出找出那些Lab Rules到底是谁干的，是谁放在网上的。
现在我们最需要的是有朋友把这个故事用英文写成一个Press Release一样的文章。很不幸的是，我们的wikipedia entry又一次被拿掉。这次的理由是重复的entry，不过我们在http://www.mitbbs.com/article_t0/WaterWorld/863567.html 9楼 留了一点底，可供参考。之所以要写这个Press Release是我们有个统一的message给美国媒体。这个故事本身就很精彩-- 一个存在了好几年的网站在美籍华人BBS上被抖出来以后，第二天就被关闭了，然后几千华裔都被动员起来，我们很快就得到了学校和教授的道歉。但是我们更多的美国人应该知道racial slur的玩笑是不能开的。etc， etc。
另外大家有什么建议，可以言简意赅的告诉我们，以后我们会统一放到facebook和UCSDChinaman ID的帖子里。我刚刚post了Oakfarm关于用QQ扩大影响的帖子在facebook的note里。等我有时间会慢慢看大家的回复，并把所有的资讯整理到一起。
今天我的行动重点是准备好晚上CSSA开会时讨论的各个事项。还有，大家请注意，由于SanDiego环境的局限，我们最后可能没有办法搞一个50人以上的游行，但大家还是可以通过各种途径进一步扩大影响。 | p*******r

apologize? he did, but does it matter? we all know that
his apology was made under pressure, was half hearted,
do you think you can change his view about Chinese?
trust me, you can't. at best he will put a better filter
on his big mouth, that's it. you can't change his mind.
America had made significant progress achieving racial
equality, America's ideal is like a lightening rod
attracting people from all over the world joining this
biggest melting pot of the world. think about it,
President Obama's parent's marriage half a century ago
in this country was illegal, yet their son became the
president of this country, isn't it a marvelous achievement?
I am not saying his racial slur is tolerable, but I tell
you this is very stupid and shallow racism, people are
showing a snarling face to people from another race. what
about those harbor a racist feeling and hide a deep
rooted racism, they may not yell at you, but they will
never let you blend in this melting pot,
they will never promote you based on your merits, have you
ever heard of the word "glass ceiling"? have you ever do a
statistics on the number of minority being pulled over by
police?
when your life do not cross with another human being from
another race, everyone could be nice, but hold off your
judgement until you become the boss, you achieve higher
success, you date someone from another race, then
those hidden harbored racism will surface.
But people all feel good about their own race, this is the
self recognition self identity, ego. recommend you to read
a book to better understand the issue of race. called
"visual identity"
On the other hand, you can not live on the hope that
ignorance and racism would be eliminated by demonstration,
or a campaign. it reflect how people were educated, how
he/she grow up. but you can use yourself as a genuine
example to prove every preconceived notion of you and your
race was wrong,
you could be successful, beautiful, funny, and has a great
personality. To me, that's the best way to fight racism.
