well? I have a partner will likely be there the whole time, and a couple of
friends will drop by a few of these days. Will mostly do trad, hopefully a
lot of long pitches. Collectively we lead up to easy 10s at gunks, but I
guess we will most likely take it easy... |

rock is soft too and rock falls are way too easy.
There is a speed trap right before Pine Creek Canyon parking lot. The fine
is $400. Look out for it.

Any recommended climbs, must-dos?

发帖数: 2636 | 4 I've only been there three times. I bet you'll spend a lot of time at Oak
Creek Canyon. Solar Slab (and many of its variations, including the 5.9
chimney variation, called some book I think) are must-do. The original route
is 11-pitch 5.6, and lots of its variations are nice too. We did the
Sunflower variation (5.9) and liked it. Use the gulley repel. Don't try to
repel Johney Vegas or your rope will get seriously stuck.
Brass Wall is very nice and soaks in the sun. It gets some 1-2 pitch stuffs
in the 5.8-5.10 range that you'll enjoy. Topless Twins (5.9) was a really
fun finger crack and well-protected. Lots of people like birdland (6-
pitch 5.7). My partner don't like it though. Cat in the Hat (an easy 6-pitch
5.6) is a little further from Brass Wall and you've got to lead the last
pitch.
If you want to brave the cold (and wind too), there're quite some other nice
things to do too. I would save them to another visit. Black Valvet Canyon
is so far my favorite RR crag, yet I need to wait for longer and warmer days

school and size-dependent. It's good to hear that Grace is comfortable with
it.

the ticket?

if they don't, they may or may not hand it over to a third party. at any
rate, if you don't pay the fine, you will be blacklisted in NV. chances are,
when you get another ticket in NV in the future, you'll get in trouble; or,
if you decide to move to NV, you'll have problem getting your driver
license.
