发帖数: 363 | 1 OK. so we are back, and alive, apart from burning feet and painful shoulders.
my backpacking buddy J said, dont go, you know how dangerous it is for two
girls to go backpacking in the woods?
(i frowned at him, a little worried, hmm, so to carry a weapon? i carried a
folding saw, borrowed from him, figured to use it as a weapon to wrestle
with potential emerging bears)
oh, btw, hunting season just started this weekend (man, that will be a real
concern, dont wanna be shot as a slow moving bear or deer. really worried
this time i called up the ranger at the state park. he said, yes, but he
never heard of any hikers been mistakenly shot. but wear bright orange. hmm.
so i borrowed a bright orange cap, attached it to the back of my backpack.
what if they shoot from front? it will be my fate.)
and there will be severe thunder storm on Saturday and damaging wind,
tornado-like wind (geez, will my tiny one person tent get through all of
that? what about S's tent? or i should use my 3 person tent again, although
heavy, it has been proved almost water proof from numerous rainy camp nights
. hmm, now that i think about it, there are probably 80% of the nights i
camped out were raining. and yes, for statistics, the total nights are over
20. good point).
Thanks J. looks like i will have to get better prepared for all of these
misfortunes, while i am still telling myself, i need to go. i almost
hesitated a little bit, but shake my head no, i need to go. oh yeah, you
have no idea what girls are capable of , with a saw, and an orange cap. :) | i*****0
