If you are 5.10 climber and willing to hike a little bit, try Hueco Wall (
all sports route).

It's in the shade most of time, may get chilly when you belay but great when
you climb.
You may just have the wall by your group the whole day. very beautiful view
looking at the valley.
Great hike too, if you don't mind.
The trailhead is 1 mile east of the Circle X Ranch, which is located 5 ½
; miles from Pacific Coast Highway on Yerba Buena Road in Malibu.
Alternately, from Westlake Village, exit on Westlake Blvd from the 101
Freeway, and follow it south for several miles as it merges with Mulholland
highway. Turn right onto Little Sycamore Canyon and it will become Yerba
Buena Road as you cross the county line. Proceed on Yerba Buena Road for
about 4 miles to trailhead (about a mike before you hit the Circle X Ranch
Ranger Station). (Lat:34.11161 Lon:-118.92643)

started.
I have a few questions: it the trail head leading to Hueco Wall same as that
of Echo Cliffs? How long is the hike to HW, roughly?
Also, we will have more than one day for climbing. What other crags would
you recommend?

I would love to explore JTree if some experienced locals can show us around
, like what Stargazer (?) did last year in Gunks. Otherwise I'd stay away
from scary slabs. |

发帖数: 167 | 7 I guess you may just directly go to the guide book for the Echo cliff area
to find the one suits you.
Hueco wall is a different trail, about 3.5 mile one way and a little over
1hr to hike in. You need to bush wrecking a little bit for the last approach
part, not too bad, just be prepared.

就是一定要扎好帐篷。。。
晚上回来，发现帐篷被吹出去十多米，幸好有围栏挡住。。要不就悲剧了

当然anchor要会建才行

a bit west of that for Echo Cliffs. Please correct me if that is not
accurate.

发帖数: 69 | 12 Echo approach is ok, though it is definitely more than 2 miles and the turn
towards downhill is impossible to spot for first timers. The worst part is
the driving, so twisted it reminds me of the movie sharing the same name.
The rock, however, is high quality. Some routes might have been chipped? |
