I've been counting days for 3 years, and don't know how much longer this
PhD will take...
the research work became heavy and I also started to work harder this year
in order to graduate soon. However, things are often contradictory to your
willings. Conflicts with my advisor become more and more in tension...
I can't be happy either, no matter what exciting events are surrounding
me. I don't know how long I can survive under this torture.

If you are really serious about doing research, try your best to transfer to
a major you truly like.
Otherwise you have two options. One is to push yourself harder and get it
done. The other is to transfer to a master program of statistics, computer
science etc. Those programs are assignment-oriented and once you follow the
rules, you can graduate.

and controls everything. It doesn't matter how much work you've done and how
long you have stayed, he can block your graduation any time.
Even if you work hard it's still difficult to speed up the progress if your
advisor doesn't cooperate. He can intentionally delay your progress by
holding off the data or something like that.
Anyway, he controls you and you can't get away. So, don't work too har---if
your advisor planned

break right after college, such as working for 1 or 2 years before going to
graduate school.
