University (www.siu.edu), Carbondale, Illinois, USA is currently looking for
highly motivated Ph.D. students to perform research in the fields of data
acquisition and instrumentation, medical devices, and ultrasound systems.The
successful candidate is expected to start in
Fall 2012 or Spring 2013.
Students with MS degrees in engineering (biomedical, electrical, computer,
mechanical, instrumentation, etc), physics, computer science, or mathematics
will be fully considered. We are especially interested in students from
data acquisition, sensors and instrumentation, acoustic research, ultrasound
systems, medical devices, computer vision, computational fluid dynamics or
finite element analysis related fields. Experience in MatLAB, LabVIEW, C/C+
+, CFD or FEA software (e.g. ANSYS), and other programming will be a plus.
Students must have a MS degree before enrollment. Students need to provide
GRE and TOEFL test scores. There is no minimum requirement for GRE scores.
