且很多第三方的app功能受限制。
反过来nexus tv装Amazon app就应该不会这么麻烦。用过nexus tv的来说说。谢谢 |

user reviews. Cable is $100 bucks a month, also with mixed user reviews...
If and once you get good TV, the improvement (or decrease, haha) in life
quality is beyond description and well worth 100 bucks. I wouldn't delay
LIFE because of potential issues to fix an $100 box.
Plus, these things are android phones, minus the screen, mic, speaker, GPS,
bluetooth, etc., in a much bigger box, with external power... Generally
they're pretty stable... If you want security, just buy from Amazon -- they
'll for sure accept returns.

What's heck are you talking about?
I was talking in context of buying US based tv box like Nexus TV and/or Fire
TV vs Chinese TV box like himedia and letv.
OP suggested Nexus TV is good choice. Other suggested Himedia. I just
added negative to buy Chinese TV box. |

就拿Himedia和Fire TV相比。Fire TV本身界面没有中文。Side Load用adb或什么的。
Himedia直接放在USB卡里就可以安装
在管理第三方软件的方面，Himedia也方便很多。在Fire TV上要到设置->应用->安装的
软件里去启动。很不方便。Himeida在主页上就有个第三方软件的管理Folder。
如果家有老人，要看中文电视，国产盒子是不二之选。

发帖数: 208 | 13 If you rooted version of Fire TV, you can automatically reboot to shafa
launcher.
If you unrooted version, you can use llamba and classic TV, one clicks to
shafa launcher.
As for sideloaded, you can only need to put TVMC and shafa app, maybe llamba
apk, otherwise, you can just install directly from app store.
All android box are pretty much the same. They all use same Chinese ROM.
Then Himedia put their own software on it. Amazon put their own software on
it. With exception of Letv own movie app, all can pretty much run same
application with enough hack.
The only advantage I can think about himedia or other Chinese box is slight
better display (Fire TV stick is not good, but Fire TV is good enough for me
), but the disadvantage is that you lose support and warranty if you have
any issue.
To OP, nobody can answer your nexus player question since it is not come out
yet.

需求，小孩子要用netflix，amazon，老人要用中文电视，我要用xbmc播放NAS上的视频
，这些是必须的，目前firetv对我来说最合适。
firetv side load对我来说最方便，用那个Utility，想load啥都行，想咋整root/
unroot都行，click a button就好了。 |
