n****1 发帖数: 474 | 1 Thank you very much. We’ve seen some really inspiring offers, and your
participation allows us to quickly adjust and tailor offers more suitable to
the needs of Members.
As posted before from one of our Moderators, we were able to upgrade 90% of
the waiting list. We are really happy about the number of Members we were
able to upgrade, and even more that the upgrade allotments were available
for the Future 11 Plan (the highest allotment of all of the Future Plans).
We are confident that an upgrade for everyone on the waiting list is
possible in the near future.
Now let me address a more pertinent issue in which you are all interested,
as this thread is about Your Plan, not the Future Plans:
We’ve seen high interest in Unlimited Plans similar to what the big
carriers offer. RingPlus has an end-goal to offer Unlimited Plans (including
data), but this is currently not possible. Most of the Unlimited Plans from
other carriers come with throttled data allotments. (For example it’s
possible to offer unlimited 4G LTE data, but still throttle the speed of 4G
LTE).
RingPlus believes that throttling is a bad idea. When you use data, you want
to use it at the highest speed possible. We know, from enabling other
carriers, that throttling doesn’t really make a big difference in overall
data consumption. From most carriers, throttling is implemented for only two
reasons:
1) When you go over your allotment, you will be willing to pay for
additional non-throttled data. But what most don’t know is that for the
average consumer, the basic data allotment is used up mostly by background
operations like system updates.
2) And the second reason companies throttle data is for the small sector of
consumers who use their cell phone as a primary connection to the internet (
streaming videos without having access to WiFi and so on). These consumers
of course then will still need to buy more non-throttled high-speed data.
The majority of our Members are very tech-savvy, and have a WiFi connection
available most of the time. Hence they connect their phone to WiFi as much
as possible. Therefore, we assume that our Members would just be annoyed by
unnecessary throttling. You want, and we deliver, data at the highest speed
possible. This is the reason why RingPlus always has high-speed data
allotments and does not engage in throttling allotments. It goes against our
business model to use throttling as a method for upselling. So, I’m sorry
to say that all offers for Unlimited Plans (between 10,000 MB and 100,000 MB
+ the same numbers in minutes, text, & MMS ) we will have to decline for
the near future.
We have also seen a lot of offers that proposed shifting between voice, text
, and data allotments. Please understand that our revenue stream is derived
from playing sponsored media content. Therefore, these types of trades are
not possible.
The offers which have been accepted, and will be visible on your Dashboard
within the next two days, are offers of $5.00 or more for: (1500 min/1500
text/1500 MB/50 MMS) or less.
To be absolutely fair, this offer will be extended to everyone who
participated in the Your Plan promotion. Don’t worry, everyone who
participated (even those already switched to the Future Plan 11 who
participated in the Your Plan promotion), will be informed that a link is
available to switch to the new Your Plan if they desire to do so.
As stated before, we will review the Your Plan subscriptions all the time,
and when better offers are available we will automatically upgrade every
participant in the Your Plan to the better offer.
We are still evaluating enabling tethering for an additional amount, which
we will disclose soon as the evaluation is done.
For those Members who didn’t participate in the Your Plan, and feel
overlooked, please understand that we can only take increments of
approximately 1,000 Members in a new plan, and have to evaluate the
feasibility over a period of time before we can make it a standard plan.
Those Members who participated in our studies may get the better deal, as
they were willing to dedicate their effort and time to make this all
possible. But, we will open a new promotion with (Unlimited Talk/Unlimited
Text/and 1,000 MB LTE Data) for $12.99 on Wednesday, November 4. Additional
RingPlus research, which will be disclosed tomorrow, will also open on
Wednesday, November 4, 2015. Details will be disclosed tomorrow, Tuesday.
Since this post is really long, I’ll take this opportunity to also disclose
some information which may be of interest.
· We see that in different forums, including RingPlus Discourse,
participants sometimes accuse each other of being a shill or troll. Well,
data from Future research data showed us conclusively that there is no
trolling activity from other companies, just as there is none from RingPlus
(not a big surprise as of us MVNO’s are really courteous and fair to each
other).
· We are welcoming new Member Service and Moderators to our team and will
dramatically improve customer service response time over the next weeks.
This also will include new software for Live Chat support, which will let
you know the current waiting time, instead of just ignoring you by saying
nobody is available.
Thank you again everyone and let’s make our vision of free cell phone
service for everyone come true.
