Hazing Allegations
Three seniors, members of the school's football team, in March 2016 were
charged as juveniles with assault, unlawful restraint, making terroristic
threats, and related offenses. As part of a hazing ritual described as "No
Gay Thursday", the students, including a team captain, allegedly grabbed a
freshman they didn't like, who was trying to leave a locker room during a
hazing ritual in October 2015. Two held him down, while the third penetrated
his rectum with a broom handle, according to published reports.
