y*******n 发帖数: 86 | 1 Sorry for not being able to type in Chinese. My son would stay in China for
four months. He has already spent 2 months in my in-law's city, then went to
my parents city in last week. When my parents went to local police station
to get extension (as my mother was told in Beijing Custom), the local police
officer told them that they need to get a proof from my in-laws city first
since there's a requirement that all outsiders(外来人员) should report to
local police station within 24 hours. That really sound unrealistic for any
tourists. Does anyone get any experience?
Thank you for all your suggestion. |

L*1 发帖数: 11537 | 4 Yes, the law/regulation requires anyone who intend to stay in China for
relatively long time (30 days?) to report to local police within 24 hours,
otherwise you may be fined.
If there is trouble getting the proof from your in-law's city, just tell
them that the child has been here in your parent's city from beginning but
forgot to register within 24 hours, and pay some fine. |
