标 题: 急问：父母签证延期应该邮寄还是e-file

父亲i-94还有不到20天，出了急事需要延期，请问应该邮寄还是e-file延期申请？
是否拿到e-file收据就可以合法停留？包子答谢 | e******l

只要FILE了就可以合法停留了。
其实EFILE了也要把东西在打印出来邮寄过去。似乎没大区别。
我也是觉得EFILING了心理踏实些。

发帖数: 4501 | 3 I just did E-file. The confirmation message says:
This receipt notice provides notification of the date that your application/
petition was received by USCIS. This receipt notice does NOT grant any
immigration status or benefit. You may not present this receipt notice as
evidence that you have been granted any immigration status or benefit. In
addition, this receipt notice does not constitute evidence that your
application remains pending with USCIS (i.e., that a decision to grant or
deny your application/petition has not yet been made). The current status of
your application/petition must be verified with USCIS
So it seems '只要FILE了就可以合法停留了' is not true. You may have to wait
until you receive something offical from USCIS by mail.
One thing I am not certain is, when USCIS will mail out the offical
receipt -- after they receive the E-File or after they receive the
supplemental materials for the E-fine. So it does not hurt to do E-FILE. It
is also quick and convenient. |
