"I am not sure when parents should introduce educational apps on an iPad to
their kids. Right now, I would rather teach my boy all about colors, shapes,
sizes and numbers,etc, with conventional toys and books, even if that means
he will understand these concepts a little bit slower.
I know kids younger than my son who are much more advanced in knowledge, but
they spend hours on an iPad each day. There is a youtube video showing a 20
month old girl trying to move pictures on a magazine around with her
fingers, and when she found out that could not be done, she became very
frustrated. I don't want my boy to think that books and journals are iPads
that no longer function."

Besides, the more he plays with electronic devices, the easier he gets bored.
Now he watches TV or plays with ipads only once or twice every week. And he
does not feel bored that often. Moreover, he picks up a pen to draw, uses a
scissor to cut snow flakes, concentrates on buiding something, or reads a
book.
So my too cents, keep them away from TV, ipads, iphone as much as possible
and take them outdoors to do sports. |

今后学校的教材也应该是彩色交互式，来帮助学生理解。也许未来世界就是动画和多媒
体的天下，学习就应该轻松。如果某一个学科不能轻松学习，我们就给中国人、印度人
发签证就好了，自然会有上赶着来做牛做马的。再过30年Microsoft Office只剩一个
PowerPoint就够了。你看很多人都不一定会Word和Excel，只靠PowerPoint打天下。 |

势，iPAD是完全不符合人体工学的设计,小孩拿不动,放着看容易驮背和颈椎出问题.

thing but switch among apps all the time. To me, this is not acceptable. I
know kids cannot focus as good as adults, but I don't want to encourage this
behavior...I may wait till his school introduces such electronic devices. |

立学校，在这个学校，娃都不让用电脑，IPAD这些东东，就用很传统的教学工具。
好像还说很多这些硅谷大牛的娃都八九十岁了，还不怎么会用电脑。家长都很有意的不
让娃接触电脑电视这些电子产品。

发帖数: 743 | 44 我自己搞计算机的，看着iPad,iPhone上的app，觉着基于“内容”设计、真的有教育意
义的东西很少，大多都是实际在训练孩子如何用手点和翻来翻去。我自己观察我家小朋
友玩iphone，如果我不看着，很少能在我想让他用的东西上停留很久，如他用软件练写
字也是一个一个的往下走，没有时间思考、反思。所以对于计算机，我觉着少用，挑着
用，大人指导着用。 |

子上玩，在购物车里就底下垫上菜
