during lunch and noticed 70% of kids bring lunch. Today another mom from his
class told me school lunch didn't change much from when she was at
elementary school, seems an old problem, and his son rarely eats at cafe.
I was concerned about my son's lunch arrangement but didn't have time to
look into it. With recent observation and conversation, I decide to
revolutionize it. But what can we bring??? They do not have microwave to
heat up for them so most Chinese food wouldn't fit. |

cooking gear for quick cooking...
I read an article saying for hot/warm food to stay in container for long
time can develop bacteria.It's going to be 4hrs for the food to be in
container. Also summer is coming. (Usually we frozen our food and then
reheat that is OK.)
Maybe both bring food and buy in cafe are bad option, it's just which one is
worse. Or go with cold food which we are not good at preparing. It's going
to be double headache when my 2nd starts public school. I wish they offer an
organic menu even though that means I pay $10/day vs. $2.5/day.

发帖数: 25234 | 7 我也在犹豫这个，我娃的午饭大概要在包里待3个小时左右。
热的时间长了可能有细菌问题，不过对我娃来说主要是没有适合的饭盒，所以我考虑放
弃热的。
我现在想的是，是否午饭就吃素了，米饭，海苔末，芝麻之类做成饭团，加上一些蔬菜
，豆腐类，少油，不怕凉吃的，如果不排斥肉松更好，或者香肠，做得干净利落一点放
在饭盒里，配上cheese，小水果，对付一顿午饭还可以。
素馅的饺子包子，方便用手拿的，应该也可以吃凉的。
早晨可以吃些蛋，晚上可以吃些荤菜，一天下来也算平衡了吧。
