D*********Y 发帖数: 3382 | 1 I applied for passport for my daughter and the USPS took the birth
certificate along with the application. I need the birth certification in
the near future to apply for the travel document back to China. How can I
order extra copy for my daughter? How much time will it take? Many thanks. |

D*********Y 发帖数: 3382 | 3 the first one was done in the hospital.
I just ordered one on line and it costs me about 50 dollars. It's called "
Birth Certificate" but the one from hospital is "certification of birth".
Are they the same?

M****o 发帖数: 13571 | 4 Google your city's website and search for birth cert application on the
official website. Usually you can go to the city's designated place to get
the cert. Make sure both parents are present and bring your DLs and credit
card/check. |

fine. :)

L*1 发帖数: 11537 | 7 Some states offer 2 kinds of birth certificates, one issued locally by city/
country, one issued by the state (Department of Health Statistics or similar
name). There is no difference if you use in US, but if you plan to use it
in China, then you need to get the one from State.
In Texas, even if you order locally in your city/county, you still get the
state one. |
