4 yr olds don't need that much extra activities. Or maybe you are spending
too much ont the 6 year old?

-- younger one dance, some seasonal junior sports -- all offered onsite at
daycare. May start piano...
Now we don't need to drive the younger one, will be terrible once she starts
some weekend stuff.
I'm impressed by the tolerance level here in terms of spending on this
subject... |

some extr-curriculum. The young one is too young to start yet. Here is our
cost:
chess tutor - $50/wk
piano tutor - $50/wk
English tutor - $50/wk
swimming team - $110/month plus various extra fees like meets
Chinese school -average $40/month
chess tournament - average $40/month
He used to have seasonal activities, like skating but we cut it since too
busy.
I know some friends keep the same activities as us, and also have a private
swimming tutor which cost $40/wk.

- $60/month dance ($45/m tuition + $200-$300/yr revue fees)
- $40/month music;
- $50/month cooking class - ending this semester;
- $0 choir
- $100/month violin

$150/month now, or $100/m without cooking class, or $200/m if adding weekly
violin lesson. Hooray! :-)
With all these classes, I feel I am already too busy.

发帖数: 8211 | 12 游泳是最省钱的项目了。我的看法是一个月1000多基本上是烧钱，因为项目太多后就光
上课不练习，这样不会有多大进展。当然了，烧钱也无所谓，反正与其让QE把你的钱烧
掉还不如自己把钱烧掉算了。
比如说，游泳的入门训练标准是一周五次每次一个半小时；钢琴的入门训练标准是每天
两小时。这两样你随便做一样，每月的花费不到100，你应该就不想加别的活动了。这
两样要是你都做，我相信你应该是挣扎在累死的边缘了。别的各种活动基本上对时间的
要求也类似。
