市可以建议的吗?最好有大大的科技馆和博物馆。
我们去过佛罗里达了，另外黄石也不想去了。

适合小孩的children's musieum各大城市基本都有 | l******a

发帖数: 5237 | 13 除非很有艺术天赋的小孩，否则美术馆对孩子来说很boring的。小孩子会
喜欢的，一个是航天博物馆，一个是自然历史博物馆。不过总的来说，这些
博物馆都不是针对小小孩的，6岁小孩不大会觉得好玩

indoor play area at visitor center: How Do You Zoo (weekend 10 – 4 only),
outdoor play area: Kids Farm, Giant Pizza,
bird house (feeding), Invertebrates (spiny lobsters to giant African
millipedes to tarantulas to a giant Pacific octopus feeding 11AM and 3PM
daily, building is right behind reptile and exit to butterfly ), Amazonia (
sting ray, birds, monkeys and scientist, weekday is wonderful as the birds
are much closer to see if it is quite),
2, Natural History Museum, 2nd floor: insect zoo(my younger boy’s favorite
place), the Butterfly Pavilion (Tuesdays - no charge - but free timed-entry
tickets are required and are available Box Office each Tuesday beginning at
10:00 am, go there early to get the tickets on Tuesday), tarantula feeding
daily ( Tuesday-Friday 10:30, 11:30 & 1:30 Saturday-Sunday 11:30, 12:30 & 1:
30), Giant leaf insects, black widow spider, etc. Ocean hall, Special
Holiday Hours and march-september : 10am – 7:30pm
1st floor: dinosaur, mammal, The Discovery Room is a great hands-on display
for young children. Tues-fri: 12:00-2:30, weekend: 10:30-3:30, free passes
near door. Feel the skin of a crocodile, examine the jaws and teeth of
different animals or try on clothes from around the globe.
3, Air and Space Museum, how things fly, hand-on for kids, and educational
show: international space center,
4, American History Museum, 10:00 – 5:30PM transportation history is fun,
called American on the move, with map and audio, Spark lab and Invention at
Play are closed for renovation,
5, Freer Gallery of Art and Sackler Gallery, which together make up the
Smithsonian’s museums of Asian art, bring drawing paper for kids to follow,
daily highlight tour at noon at information desk, expect Wednesday and
federal holidays. Be sure to check out the peacock room. ImageAsia workshop
for 6-14 year old at most weekend.
6, National gallery of art: Open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. East building is modern
art, west building is more traditional art. the Cascade Café- on the
concourse between the two buildings, with a very kid-friendly view of the
cascade waterfall - featuring a menu of soups, salads, specialty entrees,
pizzas, sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs. Metro stops are Judiciary Square
on the Red Line, Archives on the Yellow/Green Lines, and Smithsonian on the
Blue/Orange Lines.
Free kids audio tour at the Acoustic guide desk located in the Rotunda, main
floor in west building, ask for map to go with it, also check the
information desk, ask for kids’ booklets (Dutch, Italian, American) and the
scheduling of that day to see any interesting tour to go, picture hunt,
highlight of west building drawing and statues, “what to see in 1 hour”

7, Botanic garden: pitcher plants
We went those places before, like it, but have not been those places for the
last 2 years.

2, National Portrait Gallery: 2006, kids can tried put on masks, like
Abraham Lincoln, tour: weekday: 11:45, 1, 2:15, weekend: 11:45, 1:30 and 3:

3, Postal Museum: 2006, make a postcard and sent home free, closed to union
station
4, Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden: 2010, ice skating in winter could
be fun
Take Metro is tricky, you need to have smart card to save some money, paper
card $1 each more on one way, we live in Rockville, MD and take Metro to
Museums in DC.

其实小孩这么小，去了DC等于白去，不如去orlando，disney+sea world等等

发帖数: 1347 | 18 Mostly in DC. We used to live Maryland for 8 years.
My boys enjoy those since they were babies.
Those museums all have kids event.
We LOVE the story in art at national gallery of art in the summer.
Now, they have winter section also.
We still go back every year for those wonderful museums with our dear
friends.
