Philadelphia will lose its status as one of GlaxoSmithKline’s dual U.S.
headquarters cities, a company spokeswoman said Wednesday.
The news was part of an announcement that the company plans to cut 1,000
field sales jobs nationwide. Cuts are expected in the Philadelphia area,
where the company employs 4,500, although they would not be related to the
loss of the city's headquarters status, spokeswoman Mary Anne Rhyne said. | A***e
