Position Description:
This position will lead the ICC Computational Biology group to provide
support to drug discovery projects. The key accountabilities/
responsibilities include:
• Lead the team to apply model informatics methods to effectively
manage, analyze, and utilize relevant informatics to support the ICC drug
discovery efforts including target identification / validation and drug
discovery projects
• Work with Information Service group to design and deliver
informatics infrastructure
Requirements
• PhD in bioscience, physics, or computer science with at least 8
years of experience in informatics discipline
• Experience in people management.
• Strong knowledge in major areas of informatics: biological
databases, literature database, sequence search and analysis, gene
expression microarray, aCGH
• Strong biology background with experience in drug discovery is
desired
• Excellent analytical background and good understanding of
statistical data analysis principles
• Strong computer programming skills |
