ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Support Clinical Leader in the management and implementation of
Translational Medicine strategy to facilitate the rapid and effective
bridging of results in the research laboratory to patients in clinical
studies.
• Responsible for the strategic and operational translational medicine
input to the design, planning, initiation and completion of trials
• Ensure that best practices are met to evaluate genomic, proteomic,
metabolomics and biomarker tools in driving the development of significant,
novel, targeted therapeutics.
• Provide medical and scientific expertise on the use of novel
biomarkers and potential companion diagnostic tests for the commercial
strategy of the company projects .
• Responsible for communication of key clinical assumptions, risks and
mitigation strategies by study/project
• Provides input to publication strategy for the projects/products.
May work with academic investigators to present and publish clinical trial
results at scientific meetings and in peer reviewed medical journals.
• Leads and/or participates in clinical/medical advisory panels,
steering committees and investigator meetings.
Education and Experience:
• Prior experience (2-5 years) working in the pharmaceutical and/or
biotechnology industry with a superb track record of accomplishments
• Ability to provide an oversight on clinical design, generation of
protocols, case record forms and clinical study reports
• Understanding of requirements for successful development,
registration and commercialization of a new product
• Strong oral and written communications skills
