or part time Consultant to support our development of nanoparticle-based
tools and reagents for biomedical applications.
Job Description:
The candidate will be a member of our development team.
1. Study surface chemistry of the particles for various applications and
provide suggestions to our Chemists for surface functionalization/
modification;
2. Conjugate nanoparticles and different biomolecules;
3. Develop nanoparticle-based assays.
Qualifications:
1. Understanding of surface chemistry of particles, including iron oxide,
quantum dots, gold, magnetic beads or latex beads, for their applications in
life science and/or biomedicine, for example, how to reduce non-specific
binding for difference assays;
2. Understanding of conjugation chemistry of particles and biomolecules;
3. Familiar with immunoprecipitation and protein separation, and/or cell
separation;
4. Familiar with IVD field and hands-on experience in assay development.
5. Highly self--motivated individuals with high energy, positive and
professional approach, a “can--do” attitude, and attention to detail;
6. Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Education:
1. Ph.D. in related fields.
Experience:
1. 2-5 year experience in surface chemistry of nanoparticles, latex beads,
protein /cell separation or assay development.
