Basic qualifications:
• BS with >5yrs or M.S. with >3yrs experience in cancer biology,
cancer immunology or related field
• Extensive knowledge of and experience in phenotypic and
functional assays such as multicolor flow cytometry, ELISPOT, multiplex
cytokine assays and cytotoxicity assays.
• Proven background in cellular and molecular biology, including
isolation of immune cells, analysis of intracellular signalling pathways
• Experience with handling animal and human tissues, primary cells
and cell lines.
• Enthusiatic learner motivated to learn new techniques, ability to
troubleshoot/improve as needed.
• Ability to understand, interpret, and communicate scientific data
effectively. Ability to work independently a plus.
• Precise and meticulous record keeping.
• Must be a team player in a matrixed environment with a track
record of being highly collaborative and good communication skills.
Preferred qualifications:
• Translational biology understanding and experience in murine and
human immune biomarkers is highly desirable
• Specific experience with and expertise in T cell biology and
immune monitoring
• Experience with FACSDiva, Flowjo, Prism, Microsoft Office and
other relevant software
• Industry experience

Immune Biomarkers and Translational Research.
The ImmunoBiology Group within the IOC DPU in the Oncology R&D unit at GSK
is recruiting for multiple dynamic senior scientist positions with a focus
on developing novel immune biomarkers to enable translational research
activities in the growth of GSK’s rapidly expanding immuno-oncology
pipeline. Successful candidates will have extensive training in immunology,
preferably cancer immunology. These individuals will develop assays,
conduct experiments, analyse data and validate new techniques/platforms to
enable pre-clinical and human ex vivo biomarker development for
immunotherapy in cancer. |
