External Posting Title Scientist I/II, Analytical Development (
Oligonucleotides)
Job Description The Pharmaceutical Analytical Development group at Biogen is
seeking an experienced and highly motivated analytical scientist to expand
Biogen internal analytical capabilities in support of the development of
oligonucleotides-based therapies. The individual will be expected to play a
critical role in the day-to-day analytical support of oligonucleotides
development programs with special emphasis in the development of innovative
analytical controls for starting materials quality and manufacturing
processes. The individual will also be expected to provide input on
analytical strategies for oligonucleotides, represent the analytical group
in cross-functional teams and work independently in an environment that
promotes collaboration among peer-scientists.

Qualifications
• Expertise in mass spectroscopy and possibly in the analysis of
oligonucleotides is highly desired.
• Experience working with CMO / CRO and / or external partners is
desired.
• Experience providing support to manufacturing development activities
(synthesis, purification …) is preferred. Of special interest is
experience in the development and implementation of innovative analytical
tools in manufacturing environment.
• Experience with spectroscopic techniques (Raman, NIR …) and
associated modeling of analytical data (chemometrics) is preferred.
• Working knowledge of GMP regulations is preferred.
Education Interested candidates must have a M.S. degree in chemistry or a
related discipline with a minimum of 6 years or PhD with 0-3 years of
practical, industrial experience. |
