willing to relocate to other states to find positions rather than stay
locally. We may see the salary drops due to the supply curve moves. |

统负担大大增加。按目前状况算physician都不够的。pharmacist只能很有可能增大。
越来越多的pharmacist会做一些类似NP, PA的direct patient care.那么同时传统的
dispensing role也不是其他行业可以取代的。所以我不担心，人总是要生病的，有人
吃药俺就有饭吃。 |

有一天药剂师有处方权了，那生活就很容易了。可是我觉得护士协会和家庭医生协会的
人绝对不会让这个通过的。这样就没人去看家庭医生了，都来看药剂师了。
如果只是靠发药，哪天自动化的处方识别发药技术成熟了，就不会需要那么多药剂师在
药店发药了。 |

more community residency programs available targeting MTMs. A few
pharmacists I know have their own MTM diabetes clinics. Retail pharmacy will
no longer be JUST dispensing meds like a robot all day long.
I've recently talked to a recruiter from Walgreens. Walgreens is planning to
move most of their prescription processing/doctor phone calls to an office-

我觉得我们现在的PharmD training远远不止是dispensing了。

system handles lots of the routine daily work in the retail settings.
Talking about MTM, I have not see any articles about a profitable model come
out. It probably will take a few years for the insurance company to pay the
services that pharmacists can provide now for free.
In order to widely get hired in the clinics, pharmacists need to learn more
about diagnosis. The curiculum in the pharmacy schools need to focus more |

发帖数: 491 | 12 from what I heard of the Osco's MTM services, they generally charge 1 USD/
min, maybe it is still not very profitable, but it at least covers the costs
somehow.
diagnosis is MD's roll, I don't think pharmacist should fight for those. We
can take care of the medication.

Rx supervisor in the town I wanna to go in LA area, he said he could offer
me a job with no problem.And he called/email me several times to make sure I
got the message.
BTW, just got an job offer from the W yesterday even though I don't graduate
in a year.

lost their jobs because automation was coming along in the 70's when he
graduated, but apparently he is still dispensing in 21st century. The thing
is a registered pharmacist has to be there in order to dispense rx.
Technology helps us to do it faster, however, patient population is
expanding and medication used is increasing also.
And there are a lot of different positions available for pharmacists in
