such a long time? I think the hospital already permits you work there. By
the way, does private drug pay for the internship? |

谢谢！现在很兴奋。老板看来是个比较push的人，不过会学到不少东西。药店是他私人
产业，有7名药
剂师，15个pharmacy tech, 负责向全州26个nursing home运送药品。缺点是药店只面
向in-
patient service, 缺少和out-patient 交流的机会。不过现在管不了这么多了！

The hospital pharmacy is still working on my liability issues. The
pharmacy has contract with local pharmacy schools from which they get
their interns. It is the first time that the hospital pharmacy deals
with foreign graduates. According to hospital pharmacy chief, there are
two main issues:
1. The pharmacy school pays liability insurance for their students.
Since I am not affiliated with any school, which party will and how to
cover the liability?
2. The pharmacy has to write performance evaluation for each of their
interns. The evaluation template is usually provided by the school.
Again here comes the question- where they would get such evaluation?
I was told that the pharmacy has to file the report to compliance
department of affiliated University to make sure everything would go by
the 'book'. The result is still pending. Hopefully I can get some good
news from them very soon!

发帖数: 438 | 7 The internship is unpaid. That's why I can get it so fast from a private
pharmacy store. The owner told me that it would take a bit longer if I ask
for money. Time is a sensitive issue here and I can't risk it waiting for
the answer. Once the owner is happy with me, no one else would object to
his decision. |

not many FPGEE out there except west coast and other major cities,the main
body is not familiar with it, it is very hard for an employer to hire such
applicants especially when the market is so competitive.
Your state board should have an evaluatin form for a foreign graduate. If
they did not mail you one with your intern license, call and ask.
You should be able to purchase pharmacy liability insurance by yourself
although I'm not sure which catagory you might be in. It is not very
expensive. Call a company that specializes in this and ask for a quote.

Thanks for your advice. I am ready to pay for the liability insurance
and in fact I already purchased one in order to join the nursing home
pharmacy, which is requested by the owner. As far as the hospital
pharmacy concerns, they didn't give me a definite answer regarding who
will pay for the insurance, so I have to wait for their final decision.
The evaluation form I was talking about is different from affidavit
issued by the board. The hospital has its own way of evaluating interns'
performance, something like that.
