you find the programs you like and applied to them.
They will send you the invitation for interview if they liked your profile.
you go on interview.
you will rank the program you interview on how much you liked the program (
at least that's how I ranked them).
At the same time, program will also interview a bunch of students and rank
them based on how much they liked the student.
So you rank them and they rank you. the exactly match process is very
complicated and I did not really understand it. but simplifiedit, if you
rank program 1st, and they rank you 1st, of course you matched to your dream
program. of couse there are condition that you did not rank them first, or
they did not rank you first. the system have a way of figuring out the max
interest for everybody.
and then you matched.

能说说申请residency最看重什么吗。gpa，医院的rotation经验，课外活动。我现在还
没有医院的工作经验,不知道第四年的算不算，因为到申请前还有几个月做rotation的
时间。第四年做rotation是在某一个方向一直做好，还是各个方向都看看。我现在还在
犹豫要不要做residency，但又想在医院工作。唉，好矛盾。 |

发帖数: 2115 | 16 我和给我拒interview的program头谈过，他说我确的是课外活动基本上我就没什么。医
院工作算个+,rotation的方向没什么关系，至少我觉得，因为不是你能控制的。但我也
听说有的地方会问的。 尤其这两年竞争太激烈了，看重的已经不是一项了，而是全面
。有的地方觉得ph.D是个很好的加分点，但大部分都觉得ok，所以要看你申请的地方。
我感觉东部基本上都不大care博士学位和发表的文章，1篇和5篇没什么区别。
