I shot the first picture at exactly the same place and at the same
angle. After I came back home, I loaded the picture into computer,
processed
it in LR and PS. Then I started to notice some blemishes that need
improvement. There was this bench on the left side of the picture was
cut
off. And a post on the right side was cut in half also. The road seemed
to
provide a strong line leading toward the distance, without much to see
at
the end. In another word, the picture needs a point of interest!
I decided to go back to retake it!
The next week, I called a friend who lives on that island. She was so
generous to come out and to stand there as my model. I set up my camera
at
the same place, facing the same angle, but left the cut-off bench out of
the
frame.
I put a red scarf on her and asked her to stand about 30 feet away from
the
camera, quietly watching the city across the river.
She was right underneath a street light that provides sufficient
lighting on
her. And I asked her to try to stand still.
Sometimes, you need a friend who is willing to stand still in the cold
air
for you for 30 seconds! I am very thankful.

大概F11-16，iso200，20-30秒。当时用D50。

我觉得要么拍环境人像, 环境作为衬托, 放到焦外虚化掉.
要么拍风景照, 人作为景的一部分(比如给个背面剪影)
你这里应该还是想拍风景照, 但我个人观感, 人物还是游离于风景之外了造成
distraction了.
