compare with Canon EF-S 17-85/4-5.6 and EF 70-300/4-5.6 IS USM

at 18mm and 50mm. Tamron is sharper than Canon 17-85 in the center, similar
at the edge. at 50mm Tamron even a touch better at edge both in term
sharpness, CA, and
at 135mm and 250mm, Tamron the same as Canon 70-300 at the center, softer at
edge, a little bit CA than Canon at edge.
