Nurses at Mills-Peninsula facilities in San Mateo and Burlingame will join
their peers statewide tomorrow in a one-day strike protesting what they say
are attacks on patient care and their own benefits.
A full-time nurse at Mills-Peninsula earns an average salary more than $140,
000 plus benefits including an employer-paid pension plan worth $84,000
annually on average for life, according to its issued statement.
