对焦要好得多，变焦距离，最大光圈也比18-55要好些。可是好像没什么人常用这只头，
它的短板在哪里？ |

最大光圈在18端是一样的，18-70可以开到70mm最大光圈4.5，比18-55mm在55mm的最大
光圈大。

关键是18-70把日常生活场景的焦段都Cover住了，不是吗？

1)The 18-70 has great build quality. 18-70 has a metal mount and seals. Also
has better IQ than the 18-55 (in terms of lens construction/elements). When
you go to ebay, you can see a lot of broken 18-55mm lens, but very few on
none of broken 18-70 lens.
2)It is f/3.5 to F/4.5
3) The 18-70 is a fine lens, and a full stop faster than the 18-50 VR at
50mm. And the mount is dust sealed (but 18-55 is not), so you would have had
more protection in the dust storm. It's a fine walk around lens
4) I want to say that I think vr at anything less then 135mm is useless. I
can hand hold at 17mm down to 1/15th second shutter and I don't think vr at
that length gives any benefit. Some people may jump all over that statement
but if it gives any benefit it's so small that it's not worth the extra cost.
5)the bokeh at 70mm f/4.5 is pretty damn good for a "kit" lens too.
Especially when the 18-55 is f/5.6. You may say VR makes up for this, but VR
isn't going to slow down any moving subjects.
Personally I still like 18-70, if I did not update to 18-200 and 18-55 F2.8. |
