Pentax K-01 has good size sensor, but camera is just too bulk.
Pentax Q camera is small, but its sensor is just too small. 1/2.3" size
sensor is even smaller than many PS cameras. Then who cares about the inter-
changeable lens for a camera with a such small sensor.
Pentax would be doing much better if it made a smaller camera with APS-C
sensor, not necessary has to be as small as Pentax Q size. Could be similar
to Panasonic GF3 size. This type of camera at least won't have to sell at 1/
4 of its list price when it is about to discontinue. Compare to Sony NEX
series. $420 is the lowest for NEX-5N, which has $699 list price. It is not
even 50% discount. Perhaps at the beginning the list price for Pentax Q and
Pentax K-01 are over priced, and over priced too much. |
