careful! In this case, there is a high possibility that the the professor
is pushing every student to the extremety to get as much result as possible.
Moreover, in order to get as many publications as possible, the quality of
the research work may also be very bad and the attitude toward science can
be very unstrict.
I just talk about possibility. However, 1 publication per person per year is

sick when seeing people connect number of publication to
a quality of group, people...
sometime we just forget we are doing science,rather we are making
a living by doing science which is worse than doing anything
else to make a living...

person could be outstanding, normal,soso,disaster...
without knowing details people start talking about numbers and
judge too many or not...anyway I do not think I am over reacting
but I am not pointing specifically at this case, just some thoughts
initiated by this.

normal, not that many.
