A postdoctoral position at UC Berkeley & UC San Diego is available starting
immediately in the area of
nanostructured thermoelectrics. The postdoctoral fellow will conduct
experimental research on thermoelectric
transport in nanostructures, and will work closely with theoretical groups
at Berkeley. The position is offered
by Dr. Yang Zhao at Berkeley. The postdoctoral fellow will be physically
located at Berkeley, and will also
collaborate with Prof. Renkun Chen at UCSD. The appointment is initially for
one year with possible extension
for a second/third year.
Qualifications:
• Recent Ph.D. in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, Materials Science,
Physics or similar fields
• Extensive micro/nano fabrication experience required
• Experience with heat transfer is strongly preferred.
• Experience with material characterization is strongly preferred.
• Technical analysis and communication skills must be demonstrated
through research publications in peer
reviewed journals.
