My personal understanding is that if you got rejected by any journal from
the Physical Review Series (not including PRL though), you may ask the APS
system drop your manuscript to PRX. Personal understanding... |

new physics journal? I think Phys Rev X might overtake all PRs in a few
years.

If not, I would not expect it overtakes Nature subs.

发帖数: 4074 | 10 I do not know enough physics, that's actually the motivation that drives me
to do research.
But, I did attend the APS special session to meet with PR editors. My
feeling based on the conversations is that PRX will not be the same level as
PRL (since APS still wants to keep PRL as their top one), even match other
PR journals.
I said this is my personal feeling and I do know some of others had the same
feeling as me. That's it. It is really doesn't require too much physics
knowledge to get such a feeling. I may get wrong, let's see.

2. no strict length limit.
3. APS does not want any paper go to other places.
How can you expect PRX better than PRL? That's why I say PRX is kind of trying
to compete with NJP.
