An opening for a Research Fellow (postdoc) position is available from August
2015 in the group of Assistant Prof. Yu Luo in the School of Electrical &
Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University , to work in the
field of plasmonics and metamaterials. This group focuses on the design and
applications of metamaterials at microwave and optical frequencies, the
study of quantum effects in mesoscopic plasmonic systems, and Nonlinear
phenomenon in active metamaterials. The successful candidate will be
involved in the theoretical study of quantum effects in plasmonics and the
design of feasible plasmonic systems to enhance the nonlinear effects.
The candidate should have a PhD degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics,
Optical Engineering or related fields. The ideal candidate should also have
extensive experience in some or most of these categories: nonlinear optics,
nonlocal and quantum plasmonics, graphene and semiconductor optics,
transformation optics, Spoof plasmonics, optical mematerials and photonic
crystals.
Strong self-motivation and excellent communication skills are essential.
