一般来说，需要知道对方使用的是什么，
才能在比赛中采取相应的策略和调整。
当然，如果实力差距很大，就无所谓，
相近的话，了解一下会有帮助。
而且比赛前你有权知道对方使用的胶皮。

可以注意海绵的厚度。
长胶的海绵比较薄，通常不超过 1.2，甚至不用海绵，
生胶和正胶的海绵略厚，
生胶通常1.5-1.8，而正胶则在1.8-2.0之间。
其实，除了看颗粒长短的时候，还要注意一下海绵的厚度，
其本可以判断出对方是什么类型的颗粒选手。

当然，专门的hardbat比赛另论，呵呵。
其实hardbat主要就是娱乐，把乒乓球中最复杂的旋转成分降到最低，
这样就玩的人多了，很多basement player都是用hardbat，一碰到旋转就歇了。

they can play any events in sanctioned tournaments just like us, the most
famous one is Scott Gordon, a CS peofessor who has a gf from China: Li, Ji.
when we first time met in tournament at Sac, 96, i beat him as a 1200s _i am
a 1300s-, then i beat him a few more times later, now he is almost 2000
by taking classes from Li, Zhenshi, Zhang li
Our improvement path is almost identical, but due to my game (good at spins),

3 way-tie in our group, i beat a hardbat 1800s 2:0 easily, who beat
the 2200 shakehand (Philipine former national team player) 2:0,
i lost to the shakehand 0:2, but counting the point, i advanced as
a 1700s player. |

平常来俱乐部的偶尔有，水平基本都是1000分左右的，
陪他们玩玩，实在是很轻松。

目前为止碰到三hardbat，1900+，1800+，1500+

to win
champion of U1900, but lost to him in U2000 RR, Scott was in that group RR
too,
i beat Scott, Scott beat Al, Scott advanced.

Actually Scott just won the hardbat national champion by beating 1 guy in
2200s,
