so i had to drive all the way to Sac to play tournaments 4 times

when he, as a national coach committee chair, asked famous
world class coaches gave coach lessons in bay area, like
the swedish one, the romania one etc. |

knew my level well, but still he gave me a rating of 1300,
i was not that happy, so i went to Sac for 3 events, and
won 3 1st places, 3 trophies.
At that time, i got the idea why he gave me a rating about
200-300 lower than my real level.
#1: new guys in USATT tour.s don't have much competition
experience, may not have much experience playing against
different styles, dealing with stress from semi-finals or
finals.
#2: new guys whoo just start to play usatt tour.s would have
much more motivation to continue playing if they see their
rating goes up within a few years.
Winning is a good feeling to enter another tournament... |

coaching for $$, just for fun, another kind of fun.
but i am a person who shifted interest very fast, on and off,
come back, i can easily get bored sometimes.
my TT coaching career went only about 4-5 years (97-02) longer
than my personal fitnees trainer. |

when Li Dajun approached me.
i asked him to play in MV club, i told him my own experience
of playing usatt tournaments, so i told him i would give him
200 lower than his real level.
but he lost to a guy in my club around 1600, beat a guy about
1300.
So i gave him a rating which was 400-500 lower than his real
level. I think at that time he was a solid 1700 player. |

过上网学习中文是他们父母的要求，不该是版面的。
在公司也一样，有公众的时候多说大家都听得懂的语言，以球会友将乒球队伍发展壮大
, 这也是体育的魅力所在，否则越玩圈子越窄，funding 都弄不来了。

我以为你早把我忘了呢。
俺努力回想当年的往事，几呼完全属实。只有一点不对。就是当时你要给我1200，我
argue了下，坚持要1400，你澳不过，就给我写了1400。其实我那时就大概1400左右。
之后参加了好几次比赛，分数一直就在1400多一点。
现在想起来，真是谢谢啊。 |

each of the past 5 moon festivals, my roommates were so surprised
to hear that..
What i like most would help me to memorize, before coming to bay area,
that was songs, what songs i love to hear or sing, after bay area,
that was exercise.
i still remembered which song i sang to get admitted to univ chorus,
that was over 24 years ago. |
