Concerned that the school district isn't doing enough to address violence at
South Philadelphia High School, 30 Asian students plan to meet and discuss
the problem today, instead of going to school.
The idea of a "walkout" was misleading, said Helen Gym, a board member of
Asian Americans United.
"It's more like a boycott," she said. "They're just not showing up at the
school today. Instead they're going to another location."
