and will invite many scholars to talk about "fundemental issues that shaped
the indentify of modern China and the social, political, economic and
cultural impact of its increasingly importance in world." I think this is a
good indicator for our CHINESE Poli_Sci_ists: China is hotter and hotter :-)
The first speaker is McFarquhar from Harvard and the talk is entiled "Mao's
Last Revolution". It seems that it is a Hobbesian |

The authors mentioned Central Case Examination Group, which is a secret
group supervided by MAO for his mission in the culture revolution.
How can we interprete this term formally? |

发帖数: 519 | 7 Oh, I just read the review of this book in the September version of The New
York Review of Books.
Seems nothing new in there. But some paragraphs are interesting. For example
, when Luo, Ruiqing attemped to suicide and failed, both Liu, Shaoqi and
Deng, xiaoping contemted his behaviors. Shaoqi said: if you are going to
commit suicide, you should have some techniques, blah blah. Xiaoping said
Luo jumped like a female athlete diver, blah blah. MY GOD!

others, including their commrades and friends. I cannot imagine what Luo
was thinking about as he got to know how his colleagues sneered at his
suicide.
